- Active satellites
- Everything in CelesTrak's “active” group: working spacecraft, not dead satellites or debris.
- NORAD ID
- The catalogue number of each object. New objects have six digits since the five-digit numbers ran out in July 2026.
- Orbit
- LEO circles in under about two hours, a few hundred to 2,000 km up. GEO turns once a day, about 36,000 km up, so it seems to hang still in the sky. MEO is in between (navigation satellites fly there), and HEO swings close and far on long loops.
- Orbit data age
- How long ago the orbit was last measured. Older data means a less certain position; ages over 3.5 days are highlighted.
- Type and owner
- From CelesTrak's satellite catalogue (SATCAT). Owners are shown as the catalogue's own short codes.
- Accuracy
- Positions are approximate, computed with SGP4 from public orbital elements. Not for navigation, collision assessment or any safety purpose.
