Data files, as used here
- 20,589 stars within 130 light-years, of which 20,327 have Gaia DR3 distances. 4,815 AT-HYG stars were matched to the Gaia Catalogue of Nearby Stars by position and distance; 15,495 further stars come only from the Gaia Catalogue of Nearby Stars and are named by their Gaia DR3 designation, or as the companion of a nearby catalogued star.
- 90,214 stars within 1,000 light-years for the 3D sky.
- Our processed star files are adapted from the AT-HYG catalogue (CC BY-SA 4.0) and the Gaia Catalogue of Nearby Stars (CC BY-NC 4.0). Values from the Gaia Catalogue of Nearby Stars are credited to the Gaia Collaboration and the catalogue's authors, and may not be reused commercially.
Within 130 light-years, faint red dwarfs and white dwarfs come from the Gaia Catalogue of Nearby Stars; beyond that, the 3D sky shows only AT-HYG's brighter stars. Stars too bright for Gaia use Hipparcos distances. Distances carry the 1σ uncertainty from the Gaia parallax where one is known.
